Foreclosure Defense

NJP has helped many families to stay in their homes and condominiums by challenging illegal foreclosures. This has included representing Alaskans in lawsuits against rogue condominium associations, the State of Alaska, or large national mortgage companies.

NJP’s lawyers also won a landmark case in the Alaska Supreme Court holding that the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation had to afford Alaska homeowners due process, before foreclosing on them. See Anderson v. Alaska Hous. Fin. Corp., 462 P.3d 19 (Alaska 2020).
