Employee Rights

NJP has helped a wide range of Alaskans who have suffered mistreatment from employers. In the process, NJP has helped employees to recover millions of dollars.

This has included representing employees who were mistreated because of their sex or race, or who were forced out of their jobs by bullying or hostility. It has also included representing employees who were fired for whistleblowing about health concerns, environmental issues, or other workplace misconduct.

Further, when employers have refused to properly pay their employees, NJP has also represented Alaskans in “wage theft” cases. This has included helping maintenance and restaurant workers who were not paid minimum wage, or helping shipyard and seasonal workers who were not paid for their overtime hours.
